Our Story
Blue Note Scuba is a PADI 5 Star tour and training center in Cozumel Mexico. We are located in Marina Fonatur minutes by taxi from anywhere on the island. When arriving at the Marina look for our boat Cha-Kay and you will be greeted by Capitan Jose, Sailor Danny and your PADI instructor dive guide.
Blue Note Scuba was founded in 1995 and is family owned and operated by Doug and Julie Atkinson. We have been a PADI 5 Star Dive Center in Cozumel since 2010. On our first trip to Cozumel we fell in love with Cozumel and its magnificent coral reefs. We wish to share the best scuba experience in Cozumel with you.
Scuba Diving in Cozumel is world class diving at its finest. Cozumel Island is in the Caribbean Sea on the Northern edge of the Mesoamerican barrier reef, the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. Our goal is to share this dive adventure with you each and every day with safety and fun being our highest priorities. Blue Note has multilingual guides and instructors that speak English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Many of our expert guides have been diving Cozumel for 20 years or more and safety is their #1 Priority.

The dives are managed by Cozumel expert Capitan Jose. First Mate Danny will make sure you are comfortable taking care of you and your gear. Plus Danny makes the best guacamole you will ever have (you will just have to try it).
Our boat The Cha-Kay is one of the fastest and most comfortable dive boats that you will experience. Our dive boat is licensed, insured, permitted for the Cozumel Marine Park and well maintained. It takes us under 15 minutes to get to most of the reefs here in Cozumel.
